Mardi Gras!!!!

Better late than never, but Happy belated Mardi Gras!! We had a 4 day weekend in Louisiana and couldn't have asked for a better time!!
Friday morning we went to Landon's cousins school for our first parade! These wagons were pretty creative!!
His cousins Madison and Aubrey in the parade!Thought these were too cute!
He had no idea what to expect and needless to say, he was having a blast!!
That night we headed to Houma for the parade!
It was FREEZING!!
Pedro and Uncle Chris
"Throw me something mista!!!"
2 of the 7 bags we FILLED just that one night!!!
Aunt Stacey and the gang made us shirts to match theirs in the parade!!
Don't be jealous of our tie dye ;)
Aunt Stacey and Landon
The bag full of goodies she made for him!!
Mammy trying to catch all the stuff they were throwing at Landon!! (that she almost had to fight for!)
Nothing says southern Louisiana like this ;)
Some of the crew waiting for the next float

Goofballs Shaking the army guys hand!
Looks like very overcast, but it was so sunny!
Landon loving on grandpa
Sunday we headed back to Houma for the 4th (and finale) parade
He caught this WHOLE bag..he was very proud!! Some of the floats...(just for you Lissa!) It even made real tiger sounds!!
Ash and me...45 degrees and we came home sunburned!
I don't have a single pic of him not squinting from this whole trip...bad mom..I made sure I had my shades! lol
All lined up waiting for the floats

We had THE BEST WEEKEND!!!! Thanks so much to our great friends and family for showing us MARDI GRAS in full effect! We cant wait for next year!!

Okay, I want to know how many beads you guys got overall! That's insane - especially Landon catching the whole bag! He looks so happy in all those pics :) Fun times!

Glad you had fun in La. My Husband and his unit were in La for all of Febuary but did not get to go to Mardi Gras eventhough they wanted too! Your pictures were great!
