Eclipse!!!!

Ahh..the day I have been waiting for since last November...

the premiere of ECLIPSE!!!

We bought tickets 2 months ago for the TRILOGY on opening night!

7:15 Twilight

9:30 New Moon

and

12:01 Eclipse!

ALL in the SAME seat!  LOL

Me and 9 of my girlfriends bought tickets and were super excited!

I even let my "Team Jacob" friends sit with me!  ha

We (well, part of our group) got to the theater at 4:30 to get in line! (and no we weren't anywhere near the front of the line!)

There were people with sleeping bags, pillows, homework, dvd players all camped out for the midnight showing!

Crazy twi-hards!!!

I was glad we atleast got to sit in a cushioned seat instead of on the floor!

Once we got in our seats they were giving out door prizes!

Then the manager walked up and down the isles throwing t-shirts!

LOOK what I caught....

(no young teenagers were physically hurt (maybe a little mentally) during the catch, but I cant promise that this almost 30 year old didnt jump when I saw it coming!)

I mean...I just had to have it!

On the back it says

Oh I think I have a problem!  lol

All in all, I was there from 5:30-2:20..just a little shy of 9 hours!

I was very surprised in the age groups of the people!  It definitely was not only a bunch of teeny boppers! ;)

It was truly such a fun night with the girls...

I dont want to ruin anything for you "not true" fans who havent even seen the movie yet, but I will say,

you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!

It was so good and I cant wait to see it again on Friday night!

Dont judge...a girl can never get enough Edward!!!

I am going with some of my blog friends and am really looking forward to just seeing Eclipse! By the time midnight came around, I feel like I might have missed a little of it!

Tuesday 10 (+3)!!

I have so many things coming up and I quickly get reminded why I love summer so much!  Its not like I don't have to work, but I sure celebrate summer like I was off!  lol

13 things I am looking forward to...

1. TAYLOR SWIFT concert tonight!!  We bought tickets last October, so I'm just glad its finally here!!  Crystal, Faith, me, Landon and Skylah are going and they made t-shirts and posters last night,

so you know pictures will follow!

2.  Landon's 1st grade Awards on Thursday.  Such a bittersweet moment for me :(  My little baby will be in the second grade..how is that even possible?!?!

3. The new Sex in the City movie comes out this week.  I loved the first one and cant wait to see the new one!  I might go Thursday night, but will for sure see it sometime this weekend!!

4. The last day of school is next Thursday and a couple of my good friends, Sharice and Christina are going out to dinner/drinks that evening! (Landon is staying the night with Nana and Mimi since he wont start summer camp until the next week!)

5. Next Friday we are having an end-of-the-year PTA pool party with all the kids and parents !!

6. Anna's graduation party!!

7. Our get together with the Purvis/Benzman/Grauls!!  Love these people and cant wait to see them!  We try and get together often, but its been MONTHS :(  The adults have just as much fun as the kids most of the time!  ha

8. Brooklyn's 2nd Birthday party (which reminds me, I need to get Landon and I a Sesame street shirt! lol) and seriously Kirsten...how will she be 2??  I swear we just had your baby shower!!  :)

9. Our monthly dinner with my high school friends, Steph, Rach and Emily!!

10. I'm making baby letters for a friend!

11. Tiffany and Howards wedding!

12.  A trip to Lafayette in late June!  We haven't seen them since Disney!

13. and last BUT certainly not least....

ECLIPSE

comes out at midnight on Wednesday, June 30th!!!!!!

A group of us got tickets to the trilogy on Tuesday evening to see Twilight @7:15, New Moon @ 9:30 and then Eclipse @ 12:01!!!

Then I'm going with Amy, 2 of her daughters, Steph, & Holly again on Friday to see it again!!!  :)

(I wont even mention that another group of girls is going on Wednesday night and I am considering going!  No way, I would never admit that, because then I might really have an obsession problem!!!)

I just saw TWILIGHT!!!!

Ok, heres the deal...I promised no spoilers, so I will keep my word! BUT...

I am going to give my opinion, so if you dont want to hear it, DONT READ anymore!!! ;)

I'm not giving anything away, just what I think you might want to know before you see it!!

Just remember, you dont have to read!!!

I FREAKING LOVED IT!!!

I went with the Madonna group (+1) and we all thought it was great!!

To be honest, it might of had to do with the fact that I had heard nothing but BAD reviews ALL day :(

"Actors sucked" "Special Effects sucked" "Nothing like the book" (and no, not just from you Cara! lol)

I will agree with one thing...special effects sucked!

I think it helped too that I had looked at the cast before I saw the movie...I knew what to expect! (that was another complaint I heard...unrealistic actors!)

Other than that, the characters grew on me, I loved Bella, got used to Edward (he was a little stiff!), and thought they hit all the big events in the book pretty well!!

I'm a huge Alice fan, so I wanted more of her, but I guess I'll have to wait for the next 3 movies!! haha

Melissa (one of the girls w/ us!) brought us a copy of the soundtrack to the movie, so that was pretty fun too! There a few really good songs!!

So, I cant wait to hear what all my blog girls and CCBC thought of it!!

I think if you just realize NOONE could portray Edward (or any of the characters for that matter!) the was we see him when we read, and that the special effects are pretty lame, you will like it too!

Yep...thats right...the Texans game!!!!

I am so freaking excited...well except for the fact that my son wants to disown me. Eeek...he was SUPER upset :(

Nat called me last night and asked if I could get a sitter on Sunday b/c she had 2 tickets!!

Landon looked at me when I got off the phone and starting crying saying "Now you are going to be one up on me"

WTF?!?! Why is my child talking like a grown person! lol

See...we have only been to one Texans game when he was 3 on Christmas Eve. He said now, that I will have gone 2 times and him only one...

its tough love baby, but mommas got to go!!!

(ok, I didnt really tell him that, but is it bad that I thought it?!?!)

I promised that next time, we will both get to go...lets just hope I dont go in debt trying to find 2 tickets now!

I FINALLY finished Eclipse and started on Breaking Dawn last night! So far, I like Twilight the best. The other 2 have been good, but its until the last 150 pages or so that it gets REALLY good!!

Ike Update Part 2

Well, we are ok and got very lucky!!

Ike was no fun, let me tell you..

We had a houseful of 6 (which is normal most of the time, when Bryan and Gavin stay over!) Friday, and then as of Saturday went to 12!

We never lost power, Internet or cable!! Woo hoo

(I did forget to go online and change my lineup for fantasy football (I know, I know!) So my team is hurting b/c some of the players were on bye week or my beloved Texans didnt play) :(

Back to Ike.

Our fence is up, trees are still planted, and our roof is still on! Thats more than I can say for most of our neighbors though. We are very thankful...we seemed to have a bubble around our house! (God Bless!!)

Here I am trying to finish reading Twilight, just sitting back relaxing...

decided I might be crushing on this Edward Cullen character (lol)...

when Bryan walk in the front door and says...
"You are not going to believe what we just found in the front yard"...
(as he is handing me this....)

yes, you read that right...

Holy Cow...I thought it was a joke, because I had literally just finished saying that maybe I should look for a vampire to date (haha)

No, not a joke. It was really in the front yard (and seriously, where would he have the time to find a vampire cd in the aftermath of a hurricane to play a joke on me with?!?!?)

So needless to say girls...garlic is hanging from all the doorways in my house!! ;)
Lets see if I have enough courage to keep reading this series!! lol I just finished Twilight and I cant wait to start New Moon!!)

The Twilight Saga!!

I tried to buy the first one, Twilight, at a few different places, and they have been out everywhere! Well, I finally got it TODAY!!

So, for all my Cross country Book Club readers...I'm trying to catch up!!!

Steph (the culprit whos read them all (and started them all over again!),

Rachel (whos on the third one ALREADY!) ,

Cara (who I think is about to start the first one like me, once the hubby leaves!), and

Jennifer (who I just found out is reading them and is on the final one)

I'm sure there are others out there reading them too!

I have to admit though..

I cant beleive these girls have convinced me to read about VAMPIRES...this is not usually my type of book!

I did peek into the first pages and see why they like it so much! I cant wait to sit down tonight and really start it!

(and to my wonderful best friend, Lissa... you may think I'm a dork, but you know you still love me!!!! lol)
