Random thoughts!

• Landon has football every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturdays..he is so freaking cute in his uniform and is such a good player!  Wears me out, but he loves it!!

• I have been to 4 PTA meeting or trainings this month!  (not complaining, but it has been very time consuming!)

• I booked Landons birthday party!  (Dec 12th!)  His bday actually falls on a Saturday this year!  I still cant believe my baby will be 7!

• I went to Learning Express this week and bought one of Landons bday presents..an ant farm.  Boy, times have sure changed...just a few years ago I would have never imagined having an ant farm in my house!  lol

• I started Christmas shopping last week!! (and just to really scare you...if you get paid weekly, only 11 more paychecks until Christmas!!)  Scary!

• Landon decided to be a boxer for halloween this year.  Only problem..I went to 4 stores and they are already out of mediums everywhere :/ (it was still September people!!!) So I had to bite the bullet and order it online!  It came in yesterday and looks so freaking cute on him!

• I completed my first fundraiser as The Fundraiser Chair!  It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be!

• I have 2 more sets of baby letters to make!

• I have 3 friends pregnant with boys right now!

• Still have my family reunion trip to post (and a few more!)

• IS IT REALLY OCTOBER ALREADY!?!?!

• I dont have enough time in the day for tv, facebook, work, homework, and being a mom!  lol  Meing a mom and homework is trumping all my extra curricular activities these days!  ;)

• Actually, I just stay up WAY too late to try and catch up on ALL the shows I DVR! 

• Biggest Loser is starting out so good this year!!  I sure as heck hope Tracy goes home soon though!

• The new Jason Aldean cd is awesome :)

• Landon told me the other day that if you cant find a wife, that you can just buy a kid!  Wow...the things that come out of this kids nouth CRACKS me up!  

• and last but certainly not least...guess what I got this week?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I cannot wait...we are going to have sooooo much fun!  I am meeting up with some fellow bloggers, so I'm sure we will have pics!  ;)

So there you have it...a little of whats on my mind!

I really have to get on the ball with updating!  I'm am getting super behind!!

Lets try and wrap it up!

Wow...where has the time gone?!?! Here it is, January 19th and I haven't even put up my Christmas pics! I joked right after Christmas that I hoped to have my blog updated by February...I didn't know how literal that statement would become!

Anyways, as most of you know, Landon had his surgery (tonsils and adenoids) 8 days before Christmas and was a CHAMP!! He slept through the night every night, NEVER complained, started eating solids the next morning, and loved his new scrubs! :)

Here he is not even 24 hours after his surgery!

Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers..they WORKED!

Christmas Eve we had a full house...Landon, me, Crystal, Skylah, Bryan, Gavin, Andy & Les (Skylahs dad and step-mom), Addison and Drew (Skylahs little brother and sister) I am so thankful to have them all as friends and be able to spend the holidays like we did! It was so fun having the 5 kiddos there!!

I still have NYE and Melissas wedding pics to put up (which was BEAUTIFUL), so look for a few more posts this week!!

I sure have missed you all..it feels so good to be back!!

Oh yeah..I almost forgot..we were all doing a puzzle on Tuesday night watching American Idol, and the girl that auditioned in her bikini came on screen...

my little 6 year old PERV looked at the screen with his mouth open and said...

(in his little Landon voice..you know what I'm talking about Kirsten..lol)

"Oh my gosh...I am neva' gonna stop watching this"

Are you freaking kidding me...I asked him what he was talking about, and then he proceeds to tell me..

"what mom...she is hot"

SHOULD I BE WORRIED??? ;)

Wow..the life of a mom with boys!!

Funny little side note...

(PLEASE do not judge our parenting skills by this next statement..we DO not talk like this (or vote like this for that matter..haha..had to throw that in!!) I blame it on public school!)

Last night Landon and Skylah were talking about voting (which was hilarious by the way) They were saying that they wanted to vote for the black guy (I cant believe I'm even repeating this!) because he would be really cool as a president for 8 years! Where do they come up with these things??

Skylah then said that they could go vote as a kid, their vote just wouldn't count! I was explaining that kids couldn't vote, but they could have an opinion.

Landon then proceeds to say... "I know what we can do...we can rip off a grown ups skin and put it on ours...then put on a long jacket and go vote as a grown up"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

My child wants to rip peoples skin off????

Maybe we wont be out trick or treating tonight..I don't want him to get any more crazy ideas! lol

(in his defense, he referenced Little Rascals when they go to the bank and pretend to be grown-ups!)

Nat called me last night and asked if I could get a sitter on Sunday b/c she had 2 tickets!!

Landon looked at me when I got off the phone and starting crying saying "Now you are going to be one up on me"

WTF?!?! Why is my child talking like a grown person! lol

See...we have only been to one Texans game when he was 3 on Christmas Eve. He said now, that I will have gone 2 times and him only one...

its tough love baby, but mommas got to go!!!

(ok, I didnt really tell him that, but is it bad that I thought it?!?!)

I promised that next time, we will both get to go...lets just hope I dont go in debt trying to find 2 tickets now!

I FINALLY finished Eclipse and started on Breaking Dawn last night! So far, I like Twilight the best. The other 2 have been good, but its until the last 150 pages or so that it gets REALLY good!!

Back in 1969...

Scene- Driving back Friday evening from my moms house

Landon- "Mom..you know this whole Texas?"

Me- "What baby?"

Landon- "This whole Texas used to be a desert"

Me- "Really? Where did you hear that?"

Landon- "Oh...my friend told me back in 1969 when the dinosaurs were awake that it was a desert"

Me- (giggling) "Baby...dinosaurs were "alive" WAY before 1969!" (ect, ect...followed by a little history lesson!)

I could not stop laughing! Seriously where do they come up with this stuff!?!?!? First off "this whole Texas" and then "dinosaurs were awake"...man, I love that lil guy!

Maybe he is getting me back for asking my mom when I was little how it felt to ride covered wagons to school!

From the mouth of Landon...

First of all, for some INSANE reason my child is obssessed with gold teeth..yes, I said gold teeth! I dont know where he picked this up, because we dont know anyone with "gold" teeth! For the last few months he has been talking about how when he gets "bigger", that he wants gold teeth. I have tried to explain that it is "not cool" to have gold teeth. He then says..silver is ok then! I've learned to just let him go through this phase (and HOPE he grows out of it VERY soon!) Well.....
We were driving down Fry Rd Friday night and he sees the stars in the sky. He asks me if he can roll down his window to make a wish, and I say ok. He then rolls down his window and says
"I wish I had a pizza, some ice cream and 2 gold teeth!" and then rolls it back up!
HOLY COW! I was hysterical! I dont know what I am going to do with this child!
