(ok..Steph and Krystyn..I am copying you guys this week...I dont have a creative bone in my body today!!)

Thirteen things I have done this week

1. Went to the eye doctor for Landon

2. Made a cork board for my friends sons birthday

3. went to the ceramic place and painted w/ Landon

4. Celebrated my mom and Mimis birthdays

5. Bought Bitter is the New Black!! (and I love it so far!!)

6. Stayed late at work for close-out :( (which I have to do tomorrow too)

7. Got invited to go to Alan Jackson w/ Natalie

8. Cleaned house

9. went to Landons soccer practice and a game

10. Started to plan Kirstens baby shower!!!

11. went to Hobby Lobby ( I love that place!!)

12. went to Bible study at work

13. Tried to stay calm at work..I hate these last few days of the month!

SuperCross 2008

Saturday night we went to Reliant for SuperCross 2008. We had such a good time w/ our friends Kevin, Vicky and their kids, Korbin and Vivian! Landon now wants to ride dirt bikes! lol (sorry..not so "wordless" today!)

One year ago today

I cant believe it was one year ago today that Landon was admitted to the hospital. That was a very LONG 5 days for all of us! He was admitted to Texas Childrens Hospital for high blood pressure...yes, a five year old had high BP :( When we went for his 4 year well check, they noticed it was really high. We had an appt w/ the Nephrologist a few weeks later, but his little body had other plans! On Valentines Day night after church he was running a high fever. The next morning, they admitted us..it was 155/110. My poor baby! They ended up finding that he has a scar on the top of one his kidneys. (which told the other kidney to work harder..causing the high BP) They believe it was caused by an undetected bladder infection or UTI. (most likely when he was a baby...they just dont start checking blood pressure until they turn 4) He takes his blood pressure medicine everyday like a champ! We now only have to check his BP once a week instead of twice a day. The doctor seems pretty cetain that he will outgrow this just like a normal scar. Here are some pics of our stay (its very hard to tell he wasnt enjoying it w/ all the stuff they had for him to do!!!) We go back in June to possibly lower his dose of meds, so keep your fingers crossed!

From the mouth of Landon...

First of all, for some INSANE reason my child is obssessed with gold teeth..yes, I said gold teeth! I dont know where he picked this up, because we dont know anyone with "gold" teeth! For the last few months he has been talking about how when he gets "bigger", that he wants gold teeth. I have tried to explain that it is "not cool" to have gold teeth. He then says..silver is ok then! I've learned to just let him go through this phase (and HOPE he grows out of it VERY soon!) Well.....
We were driving down Fry Rd Friday night and he sees the stars in the sky. He asks me if he can roll down his window to make a wish, and I say ok. He then rolls down his window and says
"I wish I had a pizza, some ice cream and 2 gold teeth!" and then rolls it back up!
HOLY COW! I was hysterical! I dont know what I am going to do with this child!

3. drop Landon off at school

4. go to Chick Fil A for lunch

5. Finish my invoices at work

6. pick up Landon early from school

7. go to his 1st soccer practice this season (pics to follow!)

8. watch a re-run of Greys (b/c the strike is STILL not over)

9. possibly do some laundry

10. take pictures of my wonderful soccer player

11. get Landons show-n-tell ready for tomorrow

12. kiss my baby a hundred times!

13. go to bed!
